Many Uses of PE – Polyethylene Foam – We’re Just a FOAM Call Away!

by Packaging Foam Insulation on January 19, 2010

Polyethylene Foam has a multitude of uses, as it is a strong and resilient closed cell foam.  Polyethylene foam is also referred to as PE. PE is most commonly used for cushioning products; other common uses would include loose fill applications and shock absorption.  Polyethylene foam lends itself to being impervious to mildew, bacteria and mold, is lightweight and cost effective.

Available in a wide variety of thicknesses and colors, PE offers an antistatic option as well and can be used in conjunction with other material such as corrugated product and wood.

Recent statistics show sixty million tons of polyethylene is produced worldwide each year!
